New Webinar Explores Complex Data Management in Web Services Environments
Sunnyvale, Calif. (PRWEB) November 27, 2007 -- Objectivity, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for complex data management applications, has partnered with Doug Barry, an international enterprise architecture expert, for a complimentary webinar that explores how to leverage an object database management system (ODBMS) within a service-oriented architecture (SOA) environment to optimize performance.
The webinar will feature a discussion on how an ODBMS can be integrated with a SOA system to create new, dynamic solutions to existing challenges. Specifically, Barry will discuss how to:
?Speed queries by creating transparent data access mechanisms
?Decide which architectures are best suited for complex data processing
?Develop a system that is flexible and scalable enough to meet the needs of the future
?Use a middle-tier architecture to integrate new and legacy systems
Barry is the founder and principal of Barry & Associates, Inc., a firm that provides consulting in enterprise architecture and standards, with a focus on SOA. He is an author, columnist, guest lecturer, international speaker and mentor, and he manages the SOA resource website www.service-architecture.com .
"This presentation is designed to introduce new possibilities for developers who are building applications," Barry said. "I want to give people different perspectives and angles so they can make an informed decision about what system will work best for them."
Barry will be joined by Brian Clark, Objectivity's vice president of Technical Services. Clark has more than 35 years of software industry experience, and he currently manages systems engineering and professional services functions for Objectivity's customer base.
"As SOA becomes more widely adopted, developers are using it to tackle more complex problems, which will lead to different solutions than those being used today," Clark said. "If your SOA deployment is suffering poor performance because of the complexity of data and data relationships, this webinar could put you in the right direction toward resolving those complex issues."
The webinar will take place Thursday, November 29 at 9 a.m. PDT. Participants can register at www.objectivity.com/SOAwebinar. It is recommended for technical managers and staff who understand the theory and practice of Web Services standards and related products.
