Health and Wellness Consultant Explains Ways to Deck the Halls...with Good Health and Good Cheer!

(PRWEB) December 11, 2007 -- Tis the season when we cannot stop eating sweets and high fat treats. This year, instead of helping your family and friends join this statistic, why not give them the gift of health?

Health and Wellness Consultant Renee Wiggins suggests, "Instead of putting our sweets for your guest, try filling bowls with fruits, unsalted pretzels, or low-fat popcorn. You might also consider a low-fat,high fiber treat, like a combination of toasted "chex"-type cereals, trail mixes, and raisins."

Here are some more tasty ideas:

1. one-oounce box of raisins

2. orange slices, sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg(place them in the oven for two minutes for a naturally sweet treat.)

3. low-fat dip with fruits and vegetables

4. one-ounce package of cheese, served with apples and a low-calorie beverage.

5. sliced celery filled with cottage cheese and topped with raisins

6. or sliced celery filled with low-fat tuna salad.

7. herbal teas

Renee suggests,

Deck the halls with a holiday drink! Try boiling a half -cup of pears, a half-cup peaches, and a half-cup of pineapple chunks. (or mandarin oranges or apples) Add three to four teaspoons of cinnamon, 4 teaspoons of nutmeg to the mixture and let it cook for 15 minutes. Then let simmer for 20 minutes. Before serving let sit for 10 minutes. If you wish, you can add a tea bag for another two minutes. This makes a great holiday drink to enjoy with family and friends.

Deck the halls with love, laughter, and songs! Visit a nursing home to sing holiday songs or lend an open ear.

Deck the house! Oranges filled with cloves can fill the air with a wonderful scent. Tying a ribbon around one of the clove-filled oranges also makes a pretty decoration and a great small holiday gift.

Deck the halls with herbs and spices. Give small jars filled with herbs and spices for that special person who loved to cook and bake.

Deck the halls with fun and games! This holiday, invite friends over for games, organize your own "Dancing With The Stars." or play charades.

Deck the halls with good deeds! Treat that special someone to a massage. Renee notes, "They"ll appreciate this reprieve from holiday duties, and will emerge more relaxed and better able to enjoy the holidays."

Renee, health and wellness expert says, " surprise your female guests with a bowl of bath oil beads. Invite them to fill a small bag to take home and enjoy. Not only will you have introduced your friends to a new fragrance, but you will also have provided them with a wonderful means for relaxation during this stressful season.

"Holiday time shouldn't focus on eating, but on enjoying friends and family." Renee says, adding Research has shown that people who have a great support team live longer and suffer from less stress than those who are alone."

This holiday, give the gift of health!

All About Credit Card Debts & Credit Card Debt Management
A credit card debt can be termed as an unsecured debt. It is a debt that is given only to a consumer by a financial institution. These are debts given from the credit cards that the customers own. These debts are a result of any credit card holder or a client of these credit card companies purchasing any item or any particular service through these credit cards. Credit cards are also known as the plastic money. These were first introduced in 1887 by Edward Bellamy but the major decision took place in the credit card industry when in 1938 most the companies started accepting each other's credit cards.
